Ingios Geotechnics, Inc. (Ingios) is seeking qualified applicants for a Senior Civil Engineering Technician position. The position is based in Iowa but could occasionally involve travel to other mid-west states to support projects. Our home laboratory facility is located in Lakeville, MN.
Ingios Geotechnics is an industry leading geoconstruction engineering firm specializing in the characterization, testing, and construction process control of geo-materials using advanced proprietary testing equipment. Clients include state departments of transportation, private industrial firms, geomaterial manufacturers, and the electrical power generation industry.
Requirements
Hourly Pay
$35/hour (depending on qualifications)
Work Schedule
Normally 40 hours per week but will vary involving longer workdays at times to meet customer requirements. The applicant must be able to travel and work irregular hours if needed. Overnight travel will be required.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
This position provides laboratory and/or field technical support for testing geomaterials. The technician will be responsible for the execution of testing plans in accordance with required testing procedures as defined by ASTM and AASHTO standards. Accurate execution and reporting of test results is critical to meeting the customer’s requirements. The technician will be responsible for use and maintenance of electronically controlled testing equipment requiring basic computer proficiency. Operation of straight truck and trailer, forklift, and other similar equipment is required to support testing requirements. Once fully trained the technician will at times be working independently on projects and supervising other technical staff.
Special Qualifications
Class A CDL (without air brakes) or ability to obtain within 4 months.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Random drug and alcohol screening.
Required Qualifications
Five years of related Laboratory and field experience or any combination of related experience and/or undergraduate courses in physical or natural sciences that is equivalent to one year of full-time employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from Civil Engineering Technician program.
Proposed Start Date
Early 2022 depending upon applicants’ availability.
Required Licensure(s)/Certification(s)
- Possession of CDL Learner’s Permit upon hiring.
- CDL (Class A CDL without air brakes) is required within 4 months of hiring.
Preferred Licensure(s)/Certification(s)
- Testing Certifications in asphalt, concrete, and soils/aggregate materials.
- Background Check Required.
