COMP-Score® MEPCAL
State-wide in situ testing solution that delivers calibration results to fully implement advanced construction design solutions.
Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Calibration is a state-wide in situ testing solution used within the AASHTO Pavement ME framework. This technology delivers local calibration results to implement more advanced pavement design solutions. The Iowa DOT recently completed a state-wide MEPCAL program funded by the FHWA STIC program. This program used APLT technology to bring the state-wide results into compliance with the state agency design guidelines. The outcome is a robust database of the mechanistic in situ, stress-dependent modulus values for the full spectrum of geomaterials used in modern pavement design.
